Overview

Amplifyher is a design campaign focused on addressing the neglect of women’s healthcare. The campaign highlights how conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, cardiovascular disease, and autoimmune disorders are often dismissed or underdiagnosed. The campaign empowers women to share their personal healthcare experiences and provides resources for self-advocacy.

Logo Identity


Amplifyher is a play on the word amplifier—a device used to increase the volume of sound. Just like an amplifier boosts audio, this campaign amplifies women’s voices in healthcare, making their stories and experiences impossible to ignore.

Why a website?

The main element of Amplifyher is the website. The website provides a centralized platform to house women's stories, resources, and tools for advocacy. It includes a space for visitors to share their own experiences and links to additional information or actions (signing petitions, links to helpful articles, etc.). It allows storytelling and resources to coexist on one platform.

The website includes a home page, an about us page, a resources page, and a contact us page. The home page includes information about the campaign, real women’s stories, statistics on women’s healthcare, and information on how visitors can support the campaign. The about us page further expands on the campaign’s purpose, sharing its mission and vision statements along with additional healthcare statistics.

The resources page equips women with the tools they need to advocate for their health, understand their rights, and take action for change. It also includes links to petitions and organizations that support the cause. The contact us page includes contact information and a form for users to share their stories or get involved.

Social Media


Why social media posts?

Social media is a vital tool for storytelling, engagement, and community building. Amplifyher uses a series of visually compelling images that share women's stories, quotes, and infographics. The goal of these social media posts is to encourage sharing and help expand the campaign's reach.

The social media posts are designed in a carousel format. Each post begins with a statistic to capture attention, followed by a real patient story that adds a personal and emotional element. The final slide includes a compelling call to action, encouraging audience engagement and support for the campaign’s mission. This format helps educate, connect, and inspire viewers to take part in advocating for women's healthcare.

Print Advertising


Why posters?

Posters can visually capture the emotional power of storytelling and reach a broad audience. Posters will be able to effectively balance between awareness and advocacy in highly visible places like clinics or hospitals. The poster series for my design campaign uses a consistent visual template to convey a powerful message. Each poster features a woman placed against a split-color background.

The left side displays a common dismissive phrase often heard by women when their pain is minimized. In contrast, the right side reveals the actual medical diagnosis that was overlooked. This stark contrast emphasizes the consequences of medical dismissal and aims to raise awareness. Each poster also includes a clear call to action, encouraging viewers to visit the campaign website to learn more and get involved.
